Privacy Policy

Working draft, pending legal review.

What We Collect

The information you give us when you apply and edit your profile: name, email, birthday, gender, photos, the particulars, your answers to profile questions, your interview answers and bio, and clubs. Your activity in the app: votes, requests, passes, introductions, letters, reports, and blocks. A verification selfie if you send one. Technical information such as device type and app version.

How We Use It

To run the service: showing your profile to members, running the ballot and the matching rules, delivering messages, and keeping the community safe. To review reports and verification requests. To contact you about your account.

Who Can See What

Signed-in members see your profile, photos, answers, and bio when the rules allow it. Nobody but you and Élu sees your verification selfie, your votes, your reports, or your block list. We don't sell your personal information.

Service Providers

We store data with Supabase, send email through Resend, and use Anthropic to turn your interview answers into a bio. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

How Long We Keep It

For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, introductions, and letters. Some records, such as reports made about you, may be kept where the law requires or to keep the community safe.

Your Rights

You can see and edit your information in the app, and delete your account at any time. For a copy of your data or any other request, write to the support address in the Help center. [Add jurisdiction-specific rights, such as GDPR or CCPA, with counsel.]

Changes

We'll tell you in the app when this policy changes.
