Support

How Can We Help?

Write to support@eluclub.co. A person reads every message, usually within one business day.

Delete Your Account

In the app, open Member, then Settings, then Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, photos, introductions, and letters immediately and permanently. If you no longer have the app, email support@eluclub.co from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it for you.

Report a Safety Concern

In the app, tap Report on the member's dossier or in your letters. For anything urgent, email support@eluclub.co with "Safety" in the subject. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first.

How Élu Works

What Is Élu?

Élu is a private members' club for meeting someone, and the members choose who joins. Every applicant is reviewed by the people they would be introduced to.

Women vote on men and men vote on women. Once ten members have voted on an application, eight or more votes to let them in admit the person. Otherwise they can apply again in thirty days.

Why Do I Vote Every Day?

The daily ballot is how the door stays guarded. Each day, women review up to ten applicants and men up to five before the rest of Élu opens. On days with fewer applicants the number shrinks, so you're never stuck.

Founding Members are exempt from the daily ballot while the community is small.

Give every applicant real thought. Your votes are compared with the community's decisions over time, and members who are far out of step lose their membership.

How Do Introductions Work?

Each day you receive a short set of introductions in your city. Open a calling card to read the member's dossier, then choose Request Introduction or Not for Me.

When you request an introduction, you can add a short note. If the other member accepts, you're introduced and can write to each other in Letters.

Your daily allowance counts both requests and passes. A new set arrives each morning.

What Are My First Two Weeks Like?

New Members spend two weeks introduced only to the members who voted them in. Anyone who also said they'd date you comes first, and requesting an introduction to one of them introduces you right away.

After two weeks you're introduced to every member whose preferences match yours.

What Is a Founding Member?

Founding Members were invited personally before Élu opened. They skip the vote and carry the founder's ribbon on their portrait, which nobody can give themselves and which never comes off.

Your Dossier

How Do I Edit My Dossier?

Open Member and choose Edit Profile. You can change your photos, your city and neighborhood, your answers, and the particulars: height, work, school, hometown, religion, what you're looking for, Instagram, and clubs.

Your name, birthday, and gender are set when you join. Write to us if one of them is wrong.

Which Photos Work Best?

Two to six recent photos that clearly show you. The first is your portrait: it appears on your calling card and the ballot, so choose a clear photo of your face. The rest appear in your portfolio.

Press and hold a photo on the edit screen to remove it.

Where Does My Bio Come From?

From your interview. When you applied, Élu asked you five short questions and wrote a bio from your answers, in your own words. You can edit it any time or redo the interview.

How Do I Get Verified?

Open Settings and choose Get Verified. Take a selfie, and a person compares it with your photos. Verified members carry Élu's seal next to their name.

Your selfie is stored privately and is never shown to other members.

What Are Clubs?

You can list the social clubs you belong to; they appear at the end of The Particulars. A club is confirmed once another member of that same club vouches for you.

Requests and Letters

What Are Requests?

Members who asked to be introduced to you, newest first, with any note they wrote. Open one to read their dossier, then Accept Introduction or Decline.

What Are Letters?

Once you're introduced, you write to each other in Letters. A red envelope means a letter is waiting on your reply.

How Do I End an Introduction or Block Someone?

In your letters with someone, choose Options. End Introduction closes your letters and you won't be introduced again. End and Block also hides you from each other everywhere, including the ballot.

You can review and undo blocks under Member, then Block List.

Preferences and Settings

Can I Meet Members in Other Cities?

Yes. By default you're introduced to members in your own city. Under Preferences, choose Cities and pick any others you'd like introductions from.

How Do Preferences Work?

Under Preferences you can set an age range, a height range, religions, and what members are looking for. Members who fit come first. Make a preference Strict to be introduced only to members who fit it.

Strict preferences work both ways: you won't be introduced to members whose strict preferences you don't meet.

Can I Take a Break?

Yes. In Settings, turn on Pause My Profile. No one is introduced to you while you're paused, and you keep your letters. Turn it off whenever you're ready.

How Do I Control Notifications?

Settings, then Notifications. Choose separately for introduction requests, new introductions, letters, and the daily ballot reminder.

Trust and Safety

How Do I Report a Member?

From any dossier or letters, tap Report. Choose what happened and add any details. Reports are private, and the member is never told who filed one. We read every report and act on it, and you can block the member in the same step.

Meeting for the First Time

Meet somewhere public you know. Tell a friend who you're meeting, where, and when. Get yourself there and back so you can leave whenever you like. If something feels off, it's fine to leave early.

Spotting a Scam

Never send money, gift cards, or crypto to anyone you've met here. Be wary of anyone who pushes to move elsewhere right away, or who has a sudden emergency or an investment tip. Report it.

Account and Privacy

How Do I Sign In?

With your email. We send you a code each time; there's no password to remember. Codes expire after a few minutes, so use the latest one, and check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

What Data Do You Keep?

Your profile, photos, votes, requests, introductions, and letters, plus a verification selfie if you've sent one. Photos are private and only shown to signed-in members. We don't sell your data. See the Privacy Policy in Settings.

How Do I Delete My Account?

Settings, then Delete Account. It removes your profile, photos, introductions, and letters permanently. If you only want a break, pause your profile instead.
